Mom wanted a group shot. This proved pretty challenging; the beach and sea were brilliantly lit, and it was just before noon, so we didn't want sun lighting the tops of our heads. But if we stood in shade, then my flash was going to have to fill in, except that the best shots involved having the camera far away, where the flash couldn't reach. So the first couple didn't quite work out. But what a background, eh?
