The snorkling turned out to be a bust. The coral was pretty much dead, and I only saw one or two fish, both nondescript brown. Plenty of icky kelp around to tangle in, though. This was a coarser white sand beach, and we had a good time anyway, although I got a respectable sunburn despite SPF30 sunblock. "30" just means it takes 30 times as long to burn, not that you're sunproof, and three hours around noon near the equator by the water was more than enough to cook me.

We traded around passengers for the return trip. Brian and Marissa were with me, and Grandma and Grandpa got the granddaughter.
